1. Mix & Match Deck Decorating Ideas
Deck Decorating Ideas do not have to be perfect. Pick up a few red or blue pillows. Go to a thrift shop and pick up a patriotic themed plate or platter. Add some flowers, like red and white carnations or a few sunflowers. And last but not least, hang the flag out on your newly restored deck.
2. Red, White, & Blue Railing Decorations
Add color to your railing with this simple do it yourself project. You will need large and small red, white, and blue paper plates. You will also need white dollies, red and white ribbon, red string and a stapler. You can pre-cut the paper plates and dollies into half circles and staple the smaller plate or dolly on top of the larger plate. Next, create a pattern with your plates, and staple them together while running your ribbon across the top. Finally, fasten to your railings with some red string.
Even though you could buy a railing decoration at the store, this project is a fun way to make your railing more personalize and stand out from all the rest.
If you have an extra pallet lying around or can obtain access to a pallet, with a little bit of paint you can create your own American flag decoration for your front porch. You just need a pallet, some red, white, and blue paint, paint brushes, and perhaps some stencils and tape.
Tape off the upper left portion of the pallet to paint later with blue stripes and white stars. Then, start at the top and alternate red and wide stripes for each board on that pallet. Next, paint the upper portion blue. Let it dry. Then come back in and use stencils or freestyle paint your own stars. Let it dry again, and then display your handcrafted American flag pallet.
4. Red White & Blue Mason Jar Table Settings
Round up or buy inexpensive mason jars, and purchase red and blue handkerchiefs. AC Moore or Michael’s have these. Place the handkerchiefs inside of the mason jars, and then add your silverware. With very little work, you have created custom 4th of July table settings. Plus, the mason jar serves as your guest’s glass.
We hope you enjoy this simple and fun do it yourself deck decorating ideas for the 4th of July.
